Our clients, partners, and design communities recognize Anthill’s capabilities. Our intent for this project was to introduce more people to our ideas and allow them to interact with our creations. We decided to highlight our specializations and calibre of workmanship and materials by making something for them.
We designed and built a kitchen to showcase our best ideas and all our favourite hardware and material options that our carefully chosen suppliers have to offer.
The resulting colourful kitchen demonstrates many ease-of-use features, such as matte surfaces with a nano-particle layer that makes small scratches repairable with a household iron, and a fold-up panel to create extra counter space when needed. With a further nod to small space living, we incorporated a feature into the kitchen island that allows a small shelf to amazingly pull out to a fully cantilevered dining table for seven. We even included storage in one of the island drawers for all seven of the dining chairs.
Features like inner cabinet lights, dimmable motion activated light switches, and motorized drawers that open and close themselves with a light touch, all subtly add everyday practicality. We did not, however, forget appearance alongside all this function.
Featured was custom laid hand-oiled hickory veneer with solid hickory accents, custom coloured and etched glass backsplash with integrated Bocci electrical plugs, and custom colour-matched Blue Star stove. Our Anthill kitchen demonstrates how daily living is enhanced and beautified when all the small details are considered.
The range of customizations that we enjoy working on is highlighted in this project. We’re proud that this kitchen exhibits how Anthill can create a showstopper cooking space with premium aesthetics and functionality.
