CORE INTEGRITY
At ANTHILL, we are committed to quality. That starts with materials. We long ago discarded the use of particle board, which is unfortunately the standard nowadays in casework. We believe in using only good quality domestic or imported European plywoods for many reasons. They are much stronger and lighter than particle board, they don’t chip as easily, they hold screws and nails much more strongly, and lastly, they don’t act like a sponge and swell up when exposed to water or humidity. Although this is true of all plywoods versus their particle board counterparts, there is a difference between plywoods as well. Better plywoods are composed of better quality plys devoid of knots, voids, and imperfections that can telegraph through the surface or lead to the mechanical failure of screws and such. They are also of a more uniform thickness, which makes a huge difference when joining multiple units together into larger structures as little variations can add up over many units and cause pieces to be misaligned and ill fitting.
We make all Anthill products using premium materials. Only select Baltic birch plywood is sourced for all structural components. This exceptionally stable and robust material is dressed with your choice of primary white laminate, hand-oiled genuine wood veneers or anti-fingerprint ultra matte laminates. Hardwood or HPL-matched edging is added for edge protection from the knocks of everyday living.

WOOD VENEERS
We offer only the finest wood veneers at Anthill. Whether you choose a creamy eastern maple, characterful white oak, or rich black walnut, each veneer is carefully selected to achieve a consistent, beautiful result. The panels, shelving, and furniture are then finished with highly durable OSMO POLYX HARDWAX OIL. This micro-porous, natural oil and wax-based finish soaks into the wood rather than sitting on top of it and helps it retain its natural beauty and durability. It also allows for easy repairs of minor stains and scratches. All veneered panels also feature solid hardwood edges.
ULTRA MATTE LAMINATES
Anthill’s Ultra Matte Laminates are Italian made laminates from FENIX NTM BY ARPA and POLARIS BY ABET LAMINATI. The laminate is highly resistant to scratches and heat, as well as being anti-fingerprint. This rich and deep surface has a futuristic appeal, giving a contemporary look to your furniture.
BASE MODELS
The perfect solution when utmost affordability is desired. Our Base Model line still uses the same core materials, edge banding and hardware like the rest of the high end Anthill product line but with a more affordable surface finish and a much faster lead time. The base model line is thus perfect for new developments where quick turnaround and affordability are paramount.
FABRIC
We have chosen our upholstery fabrics from only the best mills to ensure they are not only beautiful and pleasant to the touch, but durable and easy to clean as well. All meet or exceed the standards for even heavy-duty commercial fabrics, with most surpassing by three times that already high standard. Surrounding natural latex foam, these fabrics add comfort and versatility to our products.
MIRROR
PERFORATED DOOR
Our A/V door is made of powder coated perforated aluminum. Your cable box, Apple TV, Xbox, amplifier, etc., and especially their connecting nest of wires are now tucked out of sight, while still allowing all your remotes to work and air to flow to all your components. The door can be finished to match or complement your cabinetry.
DRAWER BOXES
In sourcing the best drawer hardware for Anthill’s furniture, we found the BLUM LEGRABOX to be the smoothest running, most robust, and most elegant drawer box system out there. The drawer sides are straight (inside and outside) and impressively slim (just 12.8 mm), blending in beautifully with all items of furniture. The individual components are perfectly coordinated, creating harmonious transitions inside and out.
LIGHTING
Light is a fundamental part of life. One that noticeably affects your well-being. Whether lighting your work, your space, or your favourite object, the lighting you choose can influence your feelings in a targeted manner. From a simple spot light to a smartphone or tablet controlled smart lighting system, our premium LED lighting gives you the opportunity to emphasize the dimensions of a room or lend an ambiance to your furniture. With superior colour rendering index (CRI), our made-in-Germany LEDs are reliable, discreet, and ideally suited for this purpose.
STRATIFICATO
We have used this amazing 1/2” thick material in the past mostly as a countertop. It is fabricated in the same way as our premium HPL’s with layers of paper and resin fused under high pressure into an extremely dense, durable product. This is finished at the factory with a top layer of the same ultra matte laminate that we offer on our other products. With the introduction of new hardware to accommodate thin fronts, we have recently been able to offer this unique material for cabinet doors and drawers. It gives each front a very distinctive profile that is thin, robust, and elegant.
