A very high-end exclusive men’s clothing store in Gastown, we worked on their feature wall, incorporating flush hidden doors, and a large sales desk. This project was all done in rift cut white oak veneered plywood.
The plywood was finished in Osmo Polyx hardwax oil, leaving a matte satin finish durable enough for a commercial setting. As a testament to the durability of the finish, the sprinklers went off in the evening just before opening day and sprayed everything in the soon to be opening store for hours.The floor was ruined, the drywall ruined, the floor below in shambles.
And despite having a sprinkler right in front of it, the only thing left unscathed was our oak wall and millwork. Osmo Oil has been our preferred choice ever since.
